ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger is keen to tempt Barcelona winger Victor Vazquez to the Emirates Stadium. The 24-year-old, who plays primarily for Barcelona B, is a free agent in June.

MANCHESTER UNITED are monitoring Athletic Bilbao’s Spainish international striker Fernando Llorente. His buy out clause is £34m (RM170m) and he will only leave for one of Europe’s elite clubs’ with Real Madrid also keen.

UDINESE chairman Franco Soldati says a bid of about £25.4m (RM`127m)has been made for striker Alexis Sanchez. The 22- year-old has been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea but Soldati refused to indentify the bidder.

INJURY-PLAGUED England midfielder Owen Hargreaves is set to leave Manchester United on a free transfer in the summer after the club decide against offering him a new contract.

CHELSEA will have to move swiftly to set up a summer deal for Brazilian playmaker Paulo Ganso after the club Santos promise to double his wage if he signed a new contract with them until 2016. The 21- year-old is also a target for both Milan club as well as Lyon.

LIVERPOOL are keeping an eye on Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson amid growing concern that they could lose current stopper Pepe Reina to Manchester United or Arsenal this summer.

BARCELONA have joined Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign highly-rated Southhampton midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

NEWCASTLE are interested in signing 30-year-old former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise from Roma as a replacement for Jose Enrique, who could be on his way to Anfield.

SIR ALEX FERGUSON is facing the possibility of a minimum two-match touchline ban for his comments. FA lawyers are deliberating over whether to open proceedings against the Red Devils Boss, while United have already spoken to their own legal advisers and Ferguson has indicated he intends to plead not guilty if he is to race disciplinary action for the fifth time in as many years.
